About Dan James
I’m Dan James, Operations Manager at CertaPro Painters of Fairfax and Prince William. I grew up in Delaware where I became an avid fan of Philadelphia’s sports teams. After graduating from the University of Delaware in 2007 with a BA in History and Spanish, I moved with my wife to Manassas, Virginia.
I was a High School Spanish teacher in Manassas for 3 years where I learned a lot about management. I have found that if you can manage a classroom of high schoolers you can manage anything. From there I took a position as a regional Resolution Specialist with an online school provider. In this role, I resolved customer concern escalations, customer service issues, and managed call center teams and teams of specialists at remote and local sites. Through my past experiences, I learned that both a positive work environment and an ability to demonstration confidence in your team can pay dividends toward the end result, no matter what the task.
My wife Heather and I live in Manassas with our three girls. She has been an integral part of Manassas City Schools for over 10 years. First as a classroom teacher, then a Reading Specialist and now in the Central Office. We both feel a strong sense of community and are grateful to have positions that allow us to affect change within it. We enjoy spending time with our family and watching our girls grow and learn to be strong members of the community in which we live.
I joined the CertaPro team in 2018, the day before my 34th birthday. As the Operations Manager, my goal is to ensure that our painters and craftsman are the best in the industry and to ensure that we deliver the best experience and service for all our customers.
